CELEBRATING WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH: Sha-Rock, 1st Female MC.

In Her Own Words ...
"30 something years ago a multi-billion dollar business was created we call Hip Hop. And yes... Right hear right now... you are witnessing the writings of the 1st Female Pioneer Luminary MC on the mic ever.. SHA-ROCK YALL... I am going to keep this thang short. Young SHA-ROCK use to live in the Bronx, but then move to Harlem USA. And that is where it started for me. I was introduced to artist's such as James Brown, Nikki Giovanni and Sylvia to name a few.
Anyway I moved back to the Bronx. Back in the 70's i use to sneak out of the house to go to Kool Herc's parties who is the Father of Hip Hop. He had no Female MC's at that time. So there was no one to set standards for me. I became a b/girl. I waited just like the fellas did for that certain break beat of James Brown's Sex Machine to began to hit the floor. I then became the 1st Pioneer Female Luminary MC ever to set the standards for any other female that came after me.. 1st Pioneer Female MC to be apart of a all male Hip Hop group/The Funky Four Plus One More... 1st Pioneer Female MC from the streets of the Bronx to go full circle in a MC battle mode... 1st Female Pioneer MC to use the echo chamber behind her voice, and every one followed... 1st Female Pioneer MC to have a record deal world wide... 1st Female Pioneer MC to introduce Hip Hop to other cultures and nationalities besides the Bronx... 1st Female Pioneer MC to be on national TV/Saturday Night Live with Blondie/aka Deborah Harry "1981"... 1st Female to be apart of the 1st organized/synchronized group... The Funky Four Plus One who set the standards for what Hip Hop is today... Know Your History.... SHA-ROCK 1ST Female Pioneer Luminary MC."

Spread Love ... It's The Bklyn Way!
